If you are going to see the Will Wonka Jr. play next week at Mary Queen of Peace you can take part in our very own Golden Ticket! While you won't get access to an amazing and magical chocolate factory, you will have a chance to win a nice 50/50 draw!

This Friday is Ice Cream Day at Mary Queen of Peace. Bring in $1.00 and you can order a delicious Ice Cream Sandwich! Yum!

As another fundraiser for our Grade 6 Musical, Willy Wonka Jr., we are delighted to announce that we will be offering another pizza lunch to our students and staff!  The proceeds raised from our sale will help to offset costs related to putting off a great performance!  Again, we will be having the pizza lunch on two separate days. Students in Grades K, 1, 2 and 3 FI can order pizza at a cost of $2.00 per slice on Thursday, May 30, 2019.  Students in Grades 3 English and Grades 4, 5 and 6 can order pizza at cost of $2.00 per slice on Friday, May 31, 2019. Please note: Just to clarify, Grade 3 FI will have their pizza lunch on Thursday, May 30, 2019 while the English Grade 3 classes will have their pizza lunch on Friday, May 31, 2019 as these students are on the same lunch break as the Elementary students. Just a reminder, due to a teacher Professional Learning day on Friday May 17th, there will be no school for students. There are also no classes on Monday, May 20th, due to the Victoria Day Holiday.  Classes will resume for all students on Tuesday, May 21st. It will be Day 2 on the cycle. 

Kindergarten Classroom at MQP You maybe asking, am I registering for Kinderstart or Kindergarten? The answer is BOTH! You see, when you register your child for Kindergarten, you are registering for Kinderstart starting this September (or later depending on the school Kinderstart Session schedule) and Kindergarten the following September. Online Registration for Kindergarten for September 2020 (Kinderstart for September 2019) will begin in May 2019 for both the English and Early French Immersion programs, as per the dates below. Wednesday May 8 / Thursday May 9 for Avalon Region (includes St. John's Metro) Monday, May 13 / Tuesday, May 14 for Central, Western and Labrador regions Children must be five(5) years of age on or before December 31, 2020 in order to register. Please note this registration process is for children who will attend Kinderstart in the upcoming 2019-2020 school year and Kindergarten in the 2020-2021 school year. Each child will be permitted to purchase 4 tickets at a cost of $5 each. Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, May 7th and can be purchased from your child's homeroom teacher. Please place the money in a baggie/envelope, labeled with your child's name and indicate how many tickets you would like to purchase. Tickets will not be sold at the door. If there are additional tickets remaining after all families have had the opportunity to purchase theirs, you will be notified. Extra tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis.

Due to a kinderstart session at MQP, there will be no regular kindergarten classes on Friday, May 3rd. Kindergarten students will back to class as normal on Monday, May 6th. We do welcome our kinderstart students and parents to the school for their last session. We are certain that are excited for their last visit before they become kindergarten students themselves in September.
