Give a Book, Take a Book Picnic
Dear Families, We are delighted to announce that we will be having a school-wide Covid-19 friendly literacy activity, which will involve a cohorted book picnic from June 21st-23rd. In preparation for this event, we are inviting students to contribute by donating a gently used book from home. We will accept books until Friday, June 18th, which will give us plenty of time to ensure all books are sanitized and ready for distribution. Please note, donating a book is not mandatory. The book picnic will take place at our school from Monday, June 21st until Wednesday, June 23rd at which time each child can choose a book of their choice for the outside picnic, and then bring the book home. Each class will determine a time that is good for them and your child’s teacher will let you know the date for their class. Students are welcome to bring a small blanket or mat from home to use during their picnic as well. Students will be offered a popsicle treat after their book picnic. Thank you to
