Time to Say Good Bye

Image
Hi Everyone, I am writing to let you know that the time has come for me to say good-bye to MQP. I will be finishing up my position as principal on Wednesday, December 21! It has been an absolute honor to be part of this school community for the past 10 years of my career. I have enjoyed getting to know you and I am very grateful for all that you did to make my job easier. As I have always said, "We have the best kids at MQP" and I truly believe it! They are precious and I will miss seeing them each and everyday. Thank you for your respect, kindness and most of all, your tremendous support over the years! It was both an honor and a privilege for me to be the leader of such a remarkable school. I have made many fond memories here that will remain in my heart for years to come. As soon as the new principal has been awarded, you will be notified. Enjoy the magic of this holiday season and I wish you the best of luck in the New Year! Take care, Kimberly Leonard Principal, MQP

MQP Gives Back - Toiletry Drive

The students of Mary Queen of Peace have been enjoying the activities associated with the 12 Days of Christmas! The students and their families are amazingly generous! The food collected over the last week or so was collected on Monday, December 12th, by the Community Food Sharing Association. The monetary donations and gift cards were also delivered, and will benefit countless families in St. John's and the surrounding area. We thank you very much! In continuing in the spirit of giving,  starting Tuesday, December 13th , Mary Queen of Peace is also holding a Toiletry Drive to help the  Association for New Canadians , as they are helping many families at this time. Individuals and families who arrive in our area have many needs as they settle into their new homes and their new community. We have compiled this list as suggested items you may wish to donate over the coming days.  The donations will be delivered to the Association for New Canadians on Wednesday, Dec. 21.
