  There won't be school for students on Friday, March 3rd. Teachers are taking part in a professional learning day.  Students will return to school on Monday, March 6th. It will be Day 7 on the cycle. 

  Dear MQP Families and Caregivers, As you are aware, we had an unexpected school closure today, based on the inclement weather. At this time, we have 3 updates: 1. Our Friendship Assembly, which was supposed to happen today, will now take place on Friday, February 24th.  Students are encouraged to wear pink, their favourite colour, or multicolours. 2. A reminder that there will be no classes tomorrow (Thursday) for current Kindergarten students, as KinderStart session #2 will take place. There will be regular classes for students in Grades 1-6. 3. Grade 5 English parents and caregivers are reminded of the Information Session for the Intensive Core French program which will take place at 6PM Thursday evening in the LRC. Due to the forescasted weather, St. John's Metro Area schools, including Mary Queen of Peace, will be closed for the day.  School will resume tomorrow, Feb. 23rd, for Gr. 1-6 students. It will be Day 7.  There will be no school for Kindergarten students on Thursday due to our regularly scheduled Kinderstart session for new students and their families. 

  Due to a kinderstart session on Feb. 23rd for new students and parents there won't be any regular classes for current kindergarten students.  They will be back for normal classes on Friday, Feb. 24th. It will be Day 1 on the schedule. 

  Due to the continued inclement weather school will remain closed for the morning. There will be an update at 10:30am with information about the rest of the day. 

  To the surprise of many, a wild snowstorm appeared overnight! School is closed for the day, and we will see you tomorrow, Feb. 15th. Tomorrow will be Day 1 on the cycle. 

  MQP is rolling out SafeArrival, which will be used for parents to report and receive information on student absences.  You can get started by going to the School Messenger website and creating an account, or downloading a mobile version.  More information is contained in the linked memo.  SafeArrival at MQP

  February is a month filled with love, and the band schedule and Ms. Sullivan are showing their love for music with a jam-packed schedule! Who knows, you might even pick up a new instrument! Because with music in your heart, anything is possible. February Band Schedule
