  The last newsletter of the year?! Say it ain't so! We are sorry you won't have this publication to keep you excited during the months of July and August, but we will be ready to go in September.  June Newsletter

  Don't forget! There will be no school Monday, June 3rd at MQP. Teachers have their last professional learning day. School will resume on Tuesday, June 4th, Day 3.

  OPTIS, our family teacher conference scheduler, opens tomorrow morning at 9am. If you don't already have an account made please go to the site and create one. Tomorrow at 9 you will be able to book an apppointment to chat with your students teachers. Interviews will be held on March 21st. If you have any issues please contact the school. OPTIS Link

  Due to the inclement weather forecasted for this afternoon school will be dismissing 3 hours early today. For Mary Queen of Peace that will be 11:10am.  If you have any specific transportation needs or changes please contact your students teacher or the school.

  Due to the forecasted weather today schools will be closed. We will see you back here on Monday, Jan. 8th. It will be Day 2 on the cycle. 

  December is a busy month for everyone, including the school! Make sure you check the newsletter to see what is happening. Pay particular attention to our upcoming dates, and our holiday activities for the month. Which has shortened after family consultation last year from 12 days to 8 days and has had several cuts, including Mummers parade and a minimum of dress up days.  December 2023 Newsletter

We just received word from district that schools will dismiss one hour earlier today. This is to ensure all school traffic will get home safely ahead of the expected snow while minimizing impact to instructional time. MQP will dismiss at 1:10 pm.  We are asking  all families  to email your child’s teacher to let them know how your child will be going home today (pick up, bus, etc) even if there is no change to their usual routine. 

  Don't forget, there will be no school for students on Monday, Nov. 20th due to teachers taking part in a professional learning day. School will resume on Tuesday, Nov. 21st, which will be Day 4. 

  Our first term family teacher conferences are approaching. They will be held on Dec. 7th, from 11:00am-7:00pm.  Optis will be available for the booking of appointments from 9:00am on November 29th until 12:00 pm on December 6th.   The November Newsletter is now available to read! Make sure you pay attention to all the events, including the 2 week days that school will be closed, for Remembrance Day and a school Professional Learning Day. November 2023 Newsletter

Bus Routes, including bus stops and times, are changing today. Please make sure you have checked the NLESD Bus Planner Site to ensure you have all the updated information for students in your households. NLESD Bus Planner

  School Photos will take place this week.  Students in Kindergarten, Gr. 1, Gr. 2 and Gr. 3 will have their photos done on Thursday Oct. 25th. Students in Gr. 4, Gr. 5 and Gr. 6 will have photos taken on Friday, Oct. 26th. 

  Due to a teacher professional learning day on Tuesday, Oct. 17th, there will be no school for students.  School will resume on Wednesday, Oct. 18th. It will be Day 2 on the cycle.
