Don't forget, this Friday school ends at 12:30pm, instead of the usual 2:25pm. We will return on Jan. 7th, which will be day 6 on the cycle. ALSO Friday is the last ice cream sale of 2018! Bring $1 to get a Polar Bar at recess.

Tickets from last night are good to use tonight. 7pm start. Here is some important information: There will not be parking at the Botanical Gardens however they have a free shuttle service for everyone to use. You will park your car at the Marine Institute. There will be a shuttle running every 20 minutes or so that will bring you right to the door. When it’s time to leave, you can grab a shuttle back to your car. We are singing at 7:00, which means we need to meet around 6:45 to line up. Because the shuttle is running in intervals of 20 minutes, I would recommend arriving at Marine Institute between 6:15-6:30. When you arrive someone will point you in the direction of the gazebo, where the students need to meet. Students that are singing get in for free however anyone else that is attending must purchase a ticket. Tickets are limited and purchased online. Mr. Keenan's class was scheduled to perform at the Botanical Gardens Festival of Lights this evening. However, due to the weather, it will be canceled. Ms. McDonald will update us with further details about a possible rescheduled event. Stay safe this evening!

Monday is the 3rd Day of Christmas at MQP! Monday afternoon at 1:30 we will hold a Mummer's Parade around Kennys Pond, weather permitting of course. Parent's are welcome to attend at well! For students mummers costumes please use clothing that is easy to wear over winter apparel, that ideally will require no adult assistance to put on. Students can bring musical instruments or noise makers as well. No hobbie horses please, as we don't have any stables at MQP to store them. If the weather is poor, we do have alternate dates. Alternate Date 1: Tuesday Dec. 11th at 1:30 Alternate Date 2: Monday Dec. 17th at 1:30 Alternate Date 3: Tuesday Dec. 18th at 1:30 If the weather is poor for all of those days, the parade will take place in the school on Tuesday, Dec. 18th.

We are having a Blitz for our Breakfast Program during morning drop off on Tuesday, Dec. 11th. The school will accept any of the following items: cheese strings premium plus crackers granola bars nutrigrain bars clementines Teachers will be on hand to collect any items dropped off by parents in the Kiss'n'ride lane. There will be another teacher collecting items dropped off at the office entrance. Any student arriving on the bus that wishes to bring items can do that too! Someone will be by to collect items from classrooms. Thanks to everyone who donates, these items go a long way to making our breakfast program more efficient!

School will open 2 hours later, which means the doors to the school will open at 10:00am, and classes will start at 10:20am. Buses will start their runs at 9:40am. There will be no cafeteria service today. Stay Safe!

The Kinderstart Parent Session that was originally scheduled for MQP tonight has been canceled due to the weather. The session will not be rescheduled. Parents will be sent any information that would have been delivered during the session in the mail, to their registered address. This will include the dates and times of Kinderstart sessions. If you have any question, please contact the school.

Advanced Chess, which is normally held from 2:30-4pm at school, will be canceled today due to the weather.

The MQP Indoor Soccer Program will being on January 11th, 2019. Registration forms will be distributed to students on Monday, Dec. 3rd, and are to be returned by Monday, Dec. 10th. The 12 Days of Christmas are almost here! The events will start on Thursday, Dec. 6th with our annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Hopefully you won't get your candy canes and clarinets mixed up during the month of December. Even if you do, make sure you follow the schedule to bring your instruments to school on the correct day. Also, there will be a band performance on Dec. 13th! Students in the AB band will perform in the afternoon for the school. It should be fun!
