Cafeteria Services: Wednesday, December 18th is the last day for cafeteria services. Students are reminded to bring along their own snacks, lunches and beverages for recess and lunch on Thursday, December 19th and Friday, December 20th. Cafeteria services will resume on Monday, January 6th. School Outing: As part of our 12 Days of Christmas activities, students in K-6 will be taking in a Christmas movie atthe Scotia Bank Theatre Cineplex on Thursday, December 19th. Students will leave the school at 9am and will return following the movie. Since students will not be permitted to take snacks into the movie, they will have a short recess before they leave and will have lunch as soon as they return. We look forward to a great time! Christmas Holidays/Dismissal: School will close for Christmas Holidays on Friday, December 20th at 12:30pm. Students and staff of MQP are going on a school wide trip to the Cinema at the Avalon Mall on Thursday, December 19th to see the movie “Elf” as part of our 12 Days of Christmas activities. All classes from Kg to Grade 6 will attend and the movie will begin at 10:00 a.m. There is no cost to the students for this trip. Since the cinema is showing this movie at this time specifically for our school, it is not open to the public, thus parents/caregivers will not be permitted to attend. No volunteers are needed as the students will be accompanied by our teachers, student assistants and administration. We will begin loading the buses at 9:00 a.m. and will be returning to the school by Noon. Thank you to Citywide for donating the bus transportation for this outing. There will be no cafeteria services on this day so students are reminded to bring along their lunch. A reminder that tickets are still on sale for our Gift Card Tree valued at $1000. They are $2 each and may be purchased at the office or from your child's homeroom teacher. We will be selling tickets tomorrow night (Thursday, Dec. 12th) at our Grade 3 Musical. If you have a little change to spare please bring it along. Thanks for your support!

Due to the high winds and bad weather we regret to inform everyone that our outdoor Mummer's Walk will be canceled. It will proceed inside for students only .

The 12 Days of MQP Christmas is almost here! Our annual Christmas events will start this Thursday, Dec. 5th with a Tree Lighting Ceremony at 9am in our upper parking lot. There will be singing and hot chocolate for the students once they get back inside.
