No School On Thursday, Sept. 30th

 MQP and the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District will be observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on Sept. 30th. As a result there will be no school.  School will resume on Friday, Oct. 1st. It will be Day 4 on the cycle. 

Friday Memo and Cafeteria Update

Update on Cafeteria Services: Hurricane Larry certainly left its mark on MQP! We are so thankful that our roof was able to be fixed in a very quick manner. However, all of the huge exhaust fans located on the roof were destroyed. Therefore, Cafeteria services will not resume next week (September 27th-October 1st). This is a huge undertaking and the District is now in the process of sending out the tender for the replacement and installation of the fans. They will have a better idea of timelines at the end of next week once the tender closes. Thank you to NLESD for working hard to have this issue resolved so that cafeteria services will be able to resume. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Cafeteria Ordering System/New Menu

  There is a new online ordering system for the cafeteria! You can find the menu and link to order under the parent portal of the schools website (mqp.nlesd.ca) or by clicking the link below.  Updated Cafeteria Menu Online Ordering System Instructions The new ordering system is a website as well as an app. The cafeteria is scheduled to open on Monday, September 13th, but we will update if that changes.

School Reopening

School will reopen for all students in K-6 on Wednesday, September 8th .  Doors will open for students in Grades 1-6 at 7:50am.  Bus students will enter through the main entrance of the school while students being dropped off in Kiss and Ride Lane will enter through the student entrance on the 1st floor.  As per normal practice at MQP, our school policy on building security will be in place on the first day of school. Therefore, parents/guardians of students in Grades 1-6 will not be permitted inside the building to take their children to their new classes. Our staff members will be located in all entrances, hallways and classroom doors to ensure students are safely escorted to their new classes. Thank you for your cooperation.  Procedure for Kindergarten Students Our Kindergarten Students will begin on Wednesday, September 8th at 10:00am.
