Friday Memo and Cafeteria Update

Update on Cafeteria Services:

Hurricane Larry certainly left its mark on MQP! We are so thankful that our roof was able to be fixed in a very quick manner. However, all of the huge exhaust fans located on the roof were destroyed. Therefore, Cafeteria services will not resume next week (September 27th-October 1st). This is a huge undertaking and the District is now in the process of sending out the tender for the replacement and installation of the fans. They will have a better idea of timelines at the end of next week once the tender closes. Thank you to NLESD for working hard to have this issue resolved so that cafeteria services will be able to resume. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Curriculum Night:

Thank you to our staff for doing an outstanding job with our virtual curriculum night! They are to be commended for their hard work and dedication. Thank you to our families for taking the time to send along such positive feedback. We are so fortunate to be part of such a wonderful school community.

Orange T Shirt Day:

We will participate in Orange T shirt day on Wednesday, September 29th.

National Holiday:

Thursday, September 30th is a National Holiday to recognize and honour the impact Residential Schools had on children. There will be no school for all students on this day. Friday, October 1st will be Day 4.
