MQP Family Literacy Day Activities
Dear Families, “Family Literacy Day takes place every January 27th to raise awareness about the importance of reading and engaging in other literacy-related activities as a family. Since 1999, thousands of schools, libraries, literacy organizations and other community groups have taken part in the initiative.” (https://abclifeliteracy.ca/ all-programs/family-literacy- day/) Literacy is the foundation upon which many aspects of our daily life are built. To highlight our love of literacy, Mary Queen of Peace staff and students would like to invite families to join us in celebrating Family Literacy Day by participating along with us at home. Literacy opportunities can be found all around you! To Celebrate at Home: Throughout the week of January 23th to 27th take part in family literacy activities.
